Every order will now receive a ‘got your back’ postcard, so you can remind a gal pal you got them. Send nudes or send mudes 😏

Last weekend I travelled from my humble student abode in Leeds, into the wilderness of Scotland...St Andrews! After a jam-packed weekend of incredible speakers and eye-opening topics of discussion, I'm so pleased to say that my workshop was a huge, nakedness-filled success!
I met the queen of body-confidence, Danni, who is the founder of the Cha Chi Power Project: "My name is Danni. I started The Chachi Power Project in January 2017 to promote body positivity and to encourage everyone to improve their body confidence. I think learning to like, or even love, your own body can change your world and in turn, you might be able to change THE WHOLE WORLD" . Expect a blog post about this energising woman, who oozes self-confidence, very soon! Thanks for having me, St Andrews Sexpression! Jazz xxx The process is wildly empowering and humbling and many women have chosen to do this as part of their self-development to become super confident and loving of their own bodies. The process takes from 1-2 weeks, as each commission is completely unique. Purchase your nude commission here
The images below have been shared with the consent of the women they are based on The process: 1) When you're ready, you can send me a relaxed nude or semi-nude photo via email, Instagram or Whatsapp. This photo is stored in a passcode-protected and hidden file and is deleted after stage 2. 2) I translate every curve of your unique body into a line drawing that provides the blueprints for the final embroidery. You're turned into a piece of art! 3) You choose where you would like the line drawing to be hand-embroidered. A popular choice is a sweatshirt since the most empowering thing is wearing yourself, baring all and being unapologetic for it. I can hand-embroider onto a tote bag, a sweatshirt, a tee, a cushion or onto a fabric in a decorative hoop (perfect for hanging on the wall). I will never share your design without your enthusiastic and explicit permission. It may be a personal journey for your eyes only and that is absolutely possible. If you have any questions or would like to hear from women who have been through the process, email: mude_threads@outlook.com A special commission for my pal based on her body. Feeling very empowered and in awe of her confidence to sit nude in front of sketching strangers, let alone being brave enough to wear herself on a sweater! 100% into it!
Expect more curvy Mudes... 'I PINK IM IN LOVE' - baby pink sweatshirts with 'Nip nip hooray!' design, hand-embroidered. Coming soon! Keep an eye out, but until then, check out the classic black embroidered sweater here
For every hand-embroidered creation, I use my trusty 'Kantan needle'. Its an ancient form of embroidery using a handheld needle with a moving 'arm'. Weirdly, I use my Kantan needle in the totally opposite way to which you're meant to - I come up to the fabric from below, rather than pushing the needle head into the fabric from above. I taught myself how to embroider using the needle, so I should be forgiven haha! The Kantan needle requires a huge amount of respect, as one wrong move can cause the sharp end to pierce through a weak point in the fabric, tearing a hole (I'd rather not talk about all of the almost-finished pieces that I've punctured, gulp!). Every stitch requires precision, following my fabric pen lines, and continuous tension in the thread (you can see this in the lovely pic below).
P.A.D.S is a campaign set up to support local charities (Basis Yorkshire, Leeds Women's Aid and Women's Health Matters) and their work with local sex workers and women. The PADS print tee (available here) donates 30% of profits to the P.A.D.S campaign, and sales so far have totalled £32 in donations!! Thanks to all of those who have purchased the tee, making a small but important difference. It feels so bloody (pun? oops) good to be able to rock nakedness and know that its having a tangible effect on actual women, as well as your own sense of empowerment. The PADS print tee design was one that I pulled from my sketchbook while playing around with tattoo ideas - the PADS designs usually feature a confident pop of red colour, so the kimono felt like the perfect way to link the design to the iconic PADS colours...and I couldn't resist some cheeky red nipples.
PADS Print Tee - £16.99 with 30% of profits going to PADS. Congrats to Laura Scott for winning the free December Tote bag!
